Care for Chromed Metal Handle Brush
Posted by Michael Polsinelli on
I recently got this from Eric,
After a follow up question, I found that the tarnish was below the ring on the handle.
Good day, I bought this particular brush from you about a year ago through eBay. The brush is fantastic and has exceeded my expectations! I have noticed though over the last few months that the metal is starting to show a lot of tarnish marks on the handle around the area closest to the knot. Is this normal? If so, is there a way to remove these marks? Thank you and God bless!

It is below the ring at the top of the handle and it stretches all the way around the top of the handle. I have attached a few pictures for you to see. Hopefully you can see tarnish/discoloration at the top of the handle. I really appreciate your help with this.I had a thought that a metal polish would work. I use Mother's Aluminum polish on my aluminum handled brushes. But I wanted to ask Zenith. I got a reply from Antonella with some pictures of what she recommended:
Dear Dr. Michael, I think that it could polish with a product for metals (see attached photos). Best regards Antonella Pandolfo

I think that if the metal polish says that it OK is for chrome, then try it on an area and see how it works.
